Raima Islam Shimu, a Bangladeshi actor, was found dead by the police as they recovered a sack with the body under the bridge in Bangladesh. The actor's husband and the driver have been detained by the police for interrogation.
The suspected murderer has not been arrested as of yet and investigations are still going on about the death of the actor.
Who is Raima Islam Shimu?
Raima Islam Shimu is a Bangladeshi actor and producer in movies and television dramas. She made her debut in 1998 with a movie named Bartaman by Kazi Hayat. She has been part of many theatres and has acted in more than 50 plays. Shimu lived in Dhaka(capital city of Bangladesh) with her husband and two children in the Green Road area.
The 35-year-old has also been part of the marketing department of a private TV channel for many years and started her own production house later. She was also a member of the Bangladesh Film Artists Association.

Shimu had reportedly gone for a shooting scheduled in Mawa. As she could not be contacted, her family grew restless and so a complaint was filed. She was reported missing a few days back when her husband filed a general diary with Kalabagan police station on January 16. However, as per the reports by local publication The Daily Star, on January 17, 2022, the police has found her body inside the sack at the Hazratpur Bridge in Keraniganj of Bangladesh. The actor's husband- Shakhawat Ali Noble and car driver have been detained for the interrogation over the murder.
The body found inside the sack was divided into two parts and as per the reports Shimu’s body had been sent for an autopsy and a case of unnatural death was filed.
The actor had been working as part of the Bangladeshi movie fraternity and has done more than 25 movies. The members from the Bangladeshi movie industry and her followers on the social media page have expressed their shock over the news of her loss.
