Who Is Neeraj Bishnoi? Since the beginning of this week, the Bulli Bai App row has taken over our timelines. Several people have been questioned, others arrested and now another arrest has been made and the 21 year old is being called the mastermind. The app shared pictures of Muslim women saying they were up for sale.
Neeraj Bishnoi is a BTech student of Vellore Institute of Technology in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh informed the Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations (IFSO). He is a 21-year-old. Delhi Police Special Cell’s IFSO team of Assam’s Jorhat made the arrest. DCP (IFSO) KPS Malhotra told ANI that Neeraj Bishnoi, arrested from Assam by Delhi Police Special Cell's IFSO team, is the main conspirator & creator of 'Bulli Bai' on GitHub & the main Twitter account holder of the app. The team will reportedly reach Delhi with the accused today afternoon.
The Bulli Bai case was transferred to IFSO on Wednesday. Yesterday two 21-year-old men and an 18-year-old woman were questioned regarding the case.
The app was hosted on the web platform GitHub where photographs of several women were uploaded without their consent for an auction. Amid widespread anger and outrage, the app has now been taken down from the web platform. A total of four people have been arrested in the case so far. The app mirrors the "Sulli Deals" which caused a similar row last year.

Earlier on Sunday, West Mumbai Cyber Police station first registered a case against the ‘Bulli Bai’ app developers and Twitter handles which promoted the app. At that time a case was registered against unknown culprits under sections 153(A) (Promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion), 153(B) (Imputations, assertions prejudicial to national integration), 295(A) (Deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings), 354D (stalking), 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman), 500 (criminal defamation) of the Indian Penal Code and Section 67 (publishing or transmitting obscene material in electronic form) of Information Technology Act.
