Designer Natasha Dalal Set to Marry Varun Dhawan

Varun Dhawan married his college sweetheart and longtime partner Natasha Dalal on January 24. Ceremony was to be held at a beach resort in Alibaug, Maharashtra, with close friends and family in attendance. Dalal was spotted leaving her Mumbai home for the wedding location with bag, baggage, and her big day trousseau in tow. While much is known about her future husband, who most recently starred in Coolie No. 1, who exactly is Natasha Dalal? 

Designer With An Eye for Local Detail

Born and brought up in Mumbai, Dalal is a graduate of New York's Fashion Institute Of Technology. Now a fashion designer with her own design house, Dalal leads a label that takes after her own name: Natasha Dalal Label. Situated in upscale Juhu in Mumbai, her brand specialises in bridal and wedding wear, according to its social media profile. Reports suggest the 28-year-old is a staunch believer in employing local artisans to keep the authenticity of her work, and employment for them, alive. 

What Is Dalal And Dhawan's Love Story?  

Dalal and Dhawan have remained largely private about their love life. The designer, who was for the most part of their relationship absent from public view, only recently began appearing on Dhawan's social media feed. She is said to share a strong relationship with the actor's parents David Dhawan and Karuna Dhawan. 

Like any good ol' Bollywood film, the story goes that Dhawan and Dalal have known each other since sixth grade in school. After remaining friends for a considerable period of time, until their 20s, the two reportedly began dating each other. Dalal and Dhawan both have refrained from bringing their relationship too flamboyantly into the public eye.

About The Couple's Alibaug Marriage 

The wedding was first reportedly confirmed by Dhawan's side of family. His uncle was quoted saying, "My nephew Varun is getting married on 24 January. I am looking forward to it." As per Hindustan Times, big names like Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan were on the celebrity wedding guest list. 

Reports earlier claimed the two had planned to tie the knot in 2020 in Thailand. However, the ceremony was apparently postponed due to the outbreak of the pandemic. 2021 was reportedly then pegged as the year Dalal and Dhawan would get married. The Badlapur actor was quoted saying, "Everyone is talking about this for the last two years. There is nothing concrete right now. There is so much uncertainty in the world right now, but if things settle down, then maybe this year."
