Megha Ganne is a young professional American golfer who is drawing enough media attention currently. The 17-year-old high school junior at Holmdel High School (N.J.) is the co-leader after the first round of the US Women's Open at The Olympic Club in San Francisco. She shot a 4-under 67 and took a share of the lead to enter the second round with England's Mel Reid. Ganne is one of the two amateurs in the top 20 after Round 1 on Thursday.
