Kusha Kapila Says 'Became A Villian' After Announcing Separation From Husband

Actor and social media influencer Kusha Kapila, who separated from her husband Zorawar Singh Ahluwalia last year, is opening up about the social media flak for her decision in a new interview. In a joint statement, the former couple wrote that the decision to part ways had been taken mutually. 

Kusha Kapila and Zorawar Singh Ahluwalia married in 2017 after dating for a few years. 

In a recent interview with The Lallantop, Kusha opened up about how pressure from a publication forced her to come out with her separation news. "We got a call from a publication saying that they have found out about the separation. It was our private moment, it was a sacred moment for us. The publication said deny the matter or we will publish the story."

"I reached out to everyone I could for help as to what should I do as the news cycle got really big and I became a big villain. After that statement, I could actually find peace and calm in my life. I still freeze when I talk about that moment," Kusha added.

Who is Kusha Kapila

Kapila is one of the most influential content creators of our time and is best known for her relatable reels. 

Kapila is a graduate of NIFT and gained popularity through her funny interpretations of South Delhi aunties, among other youth-centric comedy videos. She also worked for Times Internet as a fashion editor/content creator before establishing her career as a YouTuber and content creator. She has also been a part of Amazon Prime Video's LOL: Hasse Toh Phasse and Netflix's Ghost Stories. She is also credited as the host of Comicstaan 3 where she shared the stage with Abish Mathews.

She was also seen in talk shows like Koffee With Karan and The Kapil Sharma Show. Kapila also featured in shows such as Masaba Masaba 2, Plan A Plan B, Case Toh Banta Hai. Kusha recently shifted from Gurgaon to Mumbai to pursue her full-time profession as an actor and will next be seen in a movie with Shilpa Shetty. 

Meanwhile, Zorawar Ahluwalia started his career as a marketing executive after his MBA from the Indian Institute of Planning Management and is currently Key Account Manager in Diego, according to his LinkedIn profile.

The reason for the separation remained unknown but the Insta note said the things the two wanted in life didn't align. They tried but this was the right decision for both of them right now in their lives. 

The couple also recently brought a house together in Gurgaon giving us all some major couple goals.

The note also read that the two have mutually decided to part ways and it hasn't been an easy decision by any measure. But they know it is the right decision at this point in their lives. 

The note also talked about families in the note saying that a relationship ending is heartbreaking and a tough ordeal for them and their families. They said they need a lot more time for healing and getting to the next phase of their lives. Note also assures that their current focus is to get through this period with love, respect and support towards each other. "We will continue to be each other's cheerleaders and support," they added.

The fans were worried about their dog Maya whom the couple announced to co-parent.
