Who is Divya Shakti? She is a UPSC aspirant from Saran's Jalalpur district of Bihar who cracked her UPSC examination for the second time in a row. In the first attempt, she secured the 79th rank and got selected as an IPS officer in 2019. However, she wasn't satisfied and was determined to become an IAS officer. To fulfil her dream, she continued to prepare for the exam and even appeared for the UPSC 2022 examinations.

- The native of Jalalpur district was born and brought up in a doctor's family.
- Her father is an ex-superintendent of the government medical college hospital (GMCH).
- She completed her high school from Muzzafpur and moved to DPS Bokaro for intermediate studies.
- After completing her engineering degree in computer science from BITS Pilani, Post that, she pursued her MSc in Economics from the same college, as per a report.
- After completing her education, she worked in an American company for two years. She gave her first UPSC attempt in 2019 and got selected as an IPS officer in 2019 after securing 79th rank.
- She was, however, not happy with her score and continued to prepare for the exam and appeared for the UPSC 202 examinations.
- Interestingly, she prepared for the exam and simultaneously received training for IPS. Her hard work bore fruit when she secured the 58th rank at the All India level this year.
- Her father, bubbling over with joy, said that Divya was a studious child from the beginning.

Shivangi Goyal, a resident of Hapur, is another inspiring candidate who cleared her UPSC exam. She secured AIR 177 in UPSC and has brought laurels to her family and district as well. She, however, had to struggle a lot before achieving the feat. She was harassed by her in-laws and moved back in with her parents along with her daughter. In an interview, she credited her success to her parents and her daughter Raina.
“I want to give a message to those married women in a society that if anything wrong happens to them at their in-laws’ house, they should not be afraid. Show them that you can stand on your own feet. Women can do anything they want. If you study well and work hard, you can become an IAS,” she was quoted as saying in the report.
