Chandrila Dixit, known as Vada Pav Girl, had a brief but eventful journey in Bigg Boss OTT 3, ending with her eviction last week. Her time in the house was marked by ups and downs, with host Anil Kapoor accusing her of playing the "victim card." However, Chandrika strongly refutes this claim, asserting that she has never sought sympathy in her life.
Never Played the Victim Card: Chandrika Dixit On Anil Kapoor's Criticism
Addressing the accusation, she says, "Playing the victim card means complaining about everything and seeking sympathy." She continues, "During my time in the house, I never did anything like that. I wasn't crying to the camera or trying to gain sympathy from anyone. I focused on my life and spoke up if I felt something was wrong."
During a Weekend Ka Vaar episode, Anil Kapoor scolded Chandrika Dixit, saying, "You always twist an incident repeatedly to give it a different angle. What is your existence in this house?" In response, Chandrika asks, "Do they call speaking up for someone who is not well, or asking for respect for an elder, playing a victim card? When I felt something, I spoke up about it. Chandrika has never played a victim card, nor will she ever play one in her life. Yes, I do cry sometimes, but I know how to roar like a lioness too," she asserts.

Better known as the 'Vada Pav Girl' in Delhi, Chandrika Gera Dixit became a social media phenomenon after a video of disruption related to her stall on the streets of Delhi went viral.
Who Is Chandrika Dixit? The Viral Vada Pav Girl
Chandrika Gera Dixit, better known as 'Vada Pav Girl' who has been serving Vada Pav in Delhi's Mangolpuri area was allegedly involved in an altercation with the locals and the Delhi Police as the recent video of the incident surfaced on the internet. According to the police, Dixit misbehaved with police officials after they confronted her about an incident reported by locals.
The food stall vendor was involved in an altercation with locals as she was arranging a 'bhandara' (food fest) for the community near the stall as many alleged the huge crowd was disturbing the locality and affecting the traffic flow.
As Dixit organised the 'bhandara' on the roadside, police received complaints from the locals prompting a team to reach the scene. The police officials claimed Dixit misbehaved with the officials which led to her detention while her stall was seized but no arrests have been made, confirmed DCP of the Outer Ring Road Police Station.
The 'Vada Pav Girl' who runs the 'Authentic Vada Pav' food stall selling Mumbai's speciality street food to Delhites is also social media famous with over 3,62,000 followers on her Instagram account. There have been numerous videos on the internet of Dixit's food stall surrounded by a huge crowd and Dixit with mics clutched in interacting with many food bloggers and content creators, gaining widespread popularity.
What made this Vada Pav Girl a viral sensation was a video of her crying over a phone call with a friend when the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) officials, as she claimed, threatened her to remove her stall. Many people claim Dixit was running her stall without MCD's permission causing distress to the locality as her stall attracted huge crowds due to her Internet popularity.
Since then, Dixit and her family have often been found engaged in many verbal and even physical altercations with locals opposing her food stall. In another viral video, Dixit was noted in a rough scuffle with a local leader. Recently, she also collaborated with Dolly Chai Wala who was backed by Microsoft and went viral after serving chai (tea) to millionaire Bill Gates.
Dixit claims to be a native of Indore, MP, who later shifted to Delhi. Dixit is a mother of a 3-year-old kid and runs a food stall with her mother and her husband to make ends meet.
While Dixit's entrepreneurial feat is remarkable, controversies surrounding her often seem to overshadow her achievements, but she carries on.
