Recently Amazon Prime released Soorarai Pottru a Tamil-language film that is gaining accolades for its phenomenal story of hope and triumph. The movie has amazing actors like Suriya and Aparna Balamurali driving the storyline. While many must be aware of the famous Tamil actor and producer Suriya, few might not know who Aparna Balamurali is who is just three films old in the Tamil film industry. Soorarai Pottru is Aparna's first big-ticket film in Kollywood.
In a recent interview with India Today, Aparna Balamurli said that she didn't sign films after taking up Soorarai Pottru as she wanted the characters to watch the film and see what type of roles she can handle. She wants them to know that she isn't a commercial heroine.

Aparna Balamurali And Her Journey In Kollywood
Aparna Balamurali stepped into Kollywood (Tamil Film Industry) with 8 Thottakkal where she played the role of Meera. The film was released in 2017. The next film in line was Sarvam Thaala Mayam which was released in 2019. This 2019 film can be watched on Netflix. The third film of Balamurali is Soorarai Pottru which was scheduled to have a theatrical release but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it has been released on Amazon Prime.

Aparna Balamurali's Journey in The Malayalam Film Industry
Aparna Balamurali was born in Kerala and her first language is Malayalam. Her father K. P. Balamurali is a music director who has composed various music albums, while her mother Sobha Balamurali is a lawyer who has worked as a playback singer in Malayalam films. Aparna is also a singer and a trained classical dancer along with being a talented actor. She is trained in Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, and Mohiniyattam.
The 25-year-old Aparna has acted in more than a dozen Malayalam films. Some of her films are- Yathra Thudarunnu, Oru Second Class Yathra, Maheshinte Prathikaaram, Oru Muthassi Gada, Mr. & Ms. Rowdy, among others.
