A Malayalam vlogger named Sreekanth Vettiyar has been accused of rape by a woman at the Ernakulam Central police station. The police are reportedly on the lookout for Vettiyar.
According to reports, the survivor in the case came out the allegations against Vettiyar in a social media post in a page titled 'Women Against Sexual Harassment' on January 9. The woman stated that she has know the accused man for many years. She said that Vettiyar invited her to his flat under the pretext of celebrating his birthday and then allegedly raped her.
She also alleged that Vettiyar abused her economically, mentally and emotionally many times over the years. She claimed that Vettiyar allegedly used his fame to manipulate many of his fans. The complaint against him was filed at the Ernakulam Central Police station. As per the police, Vettiyar allegedly raped the complainant woman at a flat in Aluva and a flat in Kochi.
According to a report by Manorama News, the Vettiyar has moved to court seeking anticipatory bail.

Reportedly, Vettiyar has been accused of sexual assault by at least three women. The same Instagram page posted testimonies of two women who made allegations against the vlogger. The News Minute reported that the police are yet to arrest Vettiyar and are currently searching for him.
He has been booked under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). One of the charges against him is repeated rape on the same woman. The police are carrying out further investigation in the case.
The vlogger is famous for his social media page titled Vettiyar Trolls. He is know for making spoof videos of famous movies. He also famous for his Facebook page named ICU. That is where the survivor got introduced to Vettiyar. He also came out with his first film titled Super Sharanya in 2022.
