Visually impaired girls at fashion show

The Institute of Fashion and Jewellery Design organised the fashion show in Rajkot city of Gujarat. The show featured visually impaired girls who came in from VD Parekh Andh Mahila Vikas Graha. The girls looked elated on seeing the full house at the show and, according to their statements to a news agency, their happiness knew no bounds when they heard the audience cheer for them.

The fashion show’s video has gone viral across social media platforms. The girls can be seen donning beautiful gowns and headgear for the show. They not just look confident but also happy during taking a walk down the ramp. It's said that the group practised their walk for about fifteen days prior to the show.

A participant said that the team at IFJD made them practice well and supported them throughout. "We felt extremely happy while participating in the show. We practised well before it and the Institute of Fashion and Jewellery Design representatives helped us and taught us everything so we could perform well. We thank them for giving us this platform," she said. Another participant said, "The applause by the audience really lifted our spirits. We realised we did a good job after everyone cheered for us ad appreciated us after the show.

Other participants accompanied the girls only till halfway, and they walked ahead till the end of the ramp by themselves. The girls waved at the crowd and posed for the cameras confidently. Glimpses from the show can be seen in the video, making for a gratifying watch.
