Vishakha Mulye becomes CEO of Aditya Birla Group as per the notice issued on April 23, 2022. The chartered accountant will be replacing Ajay Srinivasan who stepped down from his post.

Vishakha Mulye, the ED of ICICI Bank, was appointed the new Chief Executive Officer of Aditya Birla Group on April 23, 2022. The chartered accountant and one of India's leading corporate women, Vishakha will be taking charge in place of Ajay Srinivasan, the now-former CEO of Aditya Birla Group, after he stepped down from his position. Ajay will be assuming a new position within the Aditya Birla Group as written in the notice announcing Vishakha's appointment.

Vishakha was announced the elected Chief Executive Officer of Aditya Birla Capital Limited on April 23, 2022. The notice of her appointment read, "This is to inform you that the Board of Directors at their meeting held today, based on the recommendations of the Nomination, Remuneration & Compensation Committee, have approved the appointment of Ms. Vishakha Mulye as the next Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Aditya Birla Capital Limited Group ('Company')."

The notice read that Vishakha will be joining as the CEO from June 1, 2022. For a month, she and Ajay Srinivasan will work together as CEO in order to ensure that the duties and information is transferred smoothly. After this overlap period, she will take charge as the new CEO of the group. The notice also mentioned a special thanks to Ajay Srinivasan for his contribution to the business as the CEO since 2007 and for helping the business grow.

Vishakha has been a part of ICICI Group since 1993. She was appointed as the Executive Director of ICICI Bank in 2016. She is a part of Board of ICICI Bank Canada and Board of ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company Limited. She has been one of the leading women in the corporate world and has featured in Business Today's list of Most Powerful Women’ in Indian Business, Fortune India's list of Most Powerful Women and Hall Of Fame by Business Today.
