CCTV camera caught a Brussels Woman pushed in front of train by a man at Rogier Metro Station in the Belgian capital. She managed to escape injuries as the driver was quick to stop the train with emergency brakes. Recovered from the shock, the woman and the driver were discharged soon after.
CCTV camera at Rogier Metro station caught Brussels woman being pushed in front of a forthcoming train by a man. The incident took place on Friday, January 14. The camera caught the man pacing back and forth at the platform before he suddenly pushed the woman in front of the train.
The metro train driver saw the woman on the tracks and pushed the emergency brakes just in time saving the woman from any severe injuries. “The driver reacted very well but is very much so in shock, as is the victim,” spokesperson for the Brussels Intercommunal Transport Company, Guy Sablon told The Brussels Times.

The bystanders reportedly helped the woman get off the tracks as soon as the train stopped. Both, the woman and the driver received necessary treatment in the hospital and had been released soon after. watch the video ">here.
The suspected man ran away quickly as soon as he pushed the woman. However, Brussels Public Prosecutor’s office confirmed that the man had been arrested few minutes after the incident on Saturday morning.
“Thanks to the distribution of the images of the suspect within the police services, he was intercepted a few minutes later while he was in the metro station De Brouckère,” the spokesperson for the prosecutor’s office said.
An investigation has been going on regarding the incident in an attempt to identify the motives of the perpetrator who has been registered under the charges of homicide. A psychiatric expert has also been assigned to examine his mental condition.
