Vikas Gupta Reveals He Dated Late Actor Pratyusha Banerjee

Vikas Gupta revealed in an interview that he dated late actor Pratyusha Banerjee for a short span of time. He added that Banerjee got to know about his sexual orientation after their break-up.

In an interview with Times of India, the television producer talked about being a bisexual person and shared that only two ex-girlfriends knew about it. While Pratyusha was one of them, Gupta didn't reveal the identity of the second woman.

Talking about his relationship with the late actor, Vikas Gupta told TOI, " The break-up reason would be that some people spoke bad about me to her. But I don't want to get into the details as she is no more. I was very angry with her after the break-up. I avoided her when I saw her on the road once."

He added that Banerjee had once called him for help and said that he liked her, "I wanted to do a big project with her. Alas."

Actor Pratyusha Banerjee died by suicide in 2016. Her boyfriend of the time, Rahul Raj Singh was accused of abetment.

Gupta shared that he had seen Rahul Raj Singh eating chips outside the hospital when Banerjee had died. He also mentioned Banerjee's ex-boyfriend Makrand Malhotra, "Pratyusha had dated Makrand (before Rahul) and that was the sweetest relationship of her life."

Vikas Gupta in his post of 2019 had paid a tribute to the late actor on her third year death anniversary. Even then Gupta has mentioned Makrand Malhotra.  "I remember the call which I thought was a prank call and it reminds me of the 20 mins I sat alone looking at you. no one was there. Mak was running around outside trying to sort things and figure things (Good Man) others were yet to know that you have gone," he wrote.

He called Banerjee a star and wrote, " you left too soon."

"I really hope you are in a better place," he added.
