The entertainment queen of Bollywood, Vidya Balan, is likely to be seen in the 'Kabali' sequel. Reportedly, the diva has been signed opposite Rajnikanth in his Tamil gangster drama.
'Kabali', which was based on a gangster's life, became a blockbuster last year. According to news reports, the sequel would be produced by Rajnikanth's son-in-law Dhanush and Pa Ranjith will be writing the script. Although, if reports are to be believed, then this movie will have a total different plotline from the first.

While speaking to TOI, a source said, "The makers of the film met Vidya Balan recently, and have finalised her as the lead. However, they are still working on the dates, and only then the official agreement would be signed."

After stunning the nation with her powerpacked performances in films like 'The Dirty Picture' and 'Kahaani', Vidya is now preparing to conquer the Tamil film industry too. A debutant in Kollywood as a leading star, Vidya, for the first time, will be sharing the screen with Rajinikanth.

While her latest film, Sujoy Ghosh's thriller Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh, didn't create much buzz, the 38-year-old actress was applauded for the gutsy roles she has been seen playing.

Both the stars are now busy with shooting. While superstar Rajni's dates are now blocked for the sequel to the 2010 robot film 'Enthiran' in which actor Akshay Kumar has also been cast, Vidya is giving all her dates to Srijit Mukherjee's next, 'Begum Jaan' and 'Tumhari Sulu'.
