Victoria Ekanoye On "Challenging Pregnancy"
The couple had announced they would become parents back in November last year. Ekanoye said they had decided to delay news of her pregnancy to fans because of health concerns relating to sickle cell anemia.
In the months leading up to her son's birth, she had opened up about her pregnancy complications on social media with regular updates. In early January 2021, she shared, "So truth be told, it’s been a bit of a challenging pregnancy... With me having Sickle Cell, it’s such a struggle recovering from an op anyway... then I’d feel guilty for being upset because so many mummys have such a tougher time and are absolute superheroes! Bloody preggy hormones! 🥺"
She elaborated how the baby had to be manually moved head down to avoid the possibility of a C Section. She had since shared several photos with her "two boys."
Ekanoye, aside from her role as Angie in Coronation Street, is also known for her work in The Royals, The Chase: Celebrity Special, The Big Quiz and The X Factor: Celebrity.
