Vamika Face Revealed: Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli had requested the media and paparazzi not to click the pictures of their daughter Vamika because they wanted to maintain the privacy of their child. A broadcaster of the ongoing India-South Africa series, however, revealed the face of the couple's one-year-old daughter Vamika's annoying the couple's fans on social media. Anushka Sharma also took to Instagram to issue a statement. It read, ""Hi guys! We realise that or daughters images were captured at the stadium yesterday and widely shared thereafter. We want to inform everyone that we were caught off guard and didn't know that the camera was on us. Our stance and request on the matter stays the same. We would really appreciate if Vamika's images are not clicked/published for reasons we have explained earlier. Thank you! (sic)."

• Anushka Sharma and her daughter Vamika were cheering for Virat Kohli from the stands during the ongoing India-South Africa series. That's when a broadcaster revealed the video of Anushka holding her daughter in her arms while cheering for Virat from the VIP lounge at the stadium.
• In no time, her photo went viral on social media after netizens took screenshots of the video and posted it on social media.
• This didn't go down well with the couple's fans as the broadcaster captured their video despite the couple's request to maintain the child's privacy.
• Anushka and Virat didn't want any unauthorised or unapproved pictures of Vamika to make their way to the internet. Both the parents had taken to social media to write personalised notes to the paparazzi and press and requested privacy for the new born. In an interview, Sharma had mentioned how she does not want to raise a child in the public eye as it will be the decision of her daughter on how she wants to appear.
• "We are deeply thankful to the Indian paparazzi and most of the media fraternity for not publishing pictures/videos of Vamika. As parents, our request to the few who carried the images/video will be to support us going forward. We seek privacy for our child and would like to do our best to give her a chance to live her life freely away from media and social media. As she is older we cannot restrict her movement and hence your support is needed so kindly practice restraint in the matter. special thank you to fan clubs and people of the internet for going out of your way to not post images. It was kind and highly mature of you.”, read the note.
