Uzbekistan Woman And Delhi Man Found Dead In Sonipat Resort
The couple had checked into the resort on Sunday evening. It was after the woman's friends tried to contact her and didn't hear back that the situation of panic arose. A few acquaintances known to the woman reached the hotel and contacted the hotel staff. Following this, resort staff alerted the police and SHO Karamjeet Singh shared the police were informed at 4:35 am to find the couple dead.
SHO Singh shared the man was found fully naked while the woman's body was found semi-naked and the bodies were sent for post-mortem in a civil hospital in Sonipat.
There were no injury marks found on the dead bodies but a liquor bottle was found in the room. However, it cannot be certified if the couple consumed any alcohol. An "angeethi" (room heater) was also found inside the room and preliminary investigations hint that the cause of death could be the toxic gases emitted from the heater, as informed by SHO Singh. However, the cause of death couldn't be certain unless postmortem reports and further investigation are underway into the case of the mysterious death of the couple.
Reportedly, the woman was in India on a tourist visa while the man was the only son of his parents and his sister was going to get engaged on January 24.
