Uttarakhand Glacier Burst: Bollywood celebrities send out prayers for the safety of people after glacier burst that hit a part of Uttarakhand.
The devastation, as seen in the videos, is colossal and the avalanche wiped out people, power stations and caused the water level in the Dhauliganga river to surge.
A glacier burst at the Reni village of Chamoli district in Uttarakhand has triggered a massive flood in the Joshimath area. Around 100-150 are feared dead due to the resultant flash floods.

Several Bollywood personalities took to social media to pray for the well being of those affected by the Uttarakhand Glacier Burst.
Shraddha Kapoor took to Twitter and wrote, "Distressing to hear about the glacier breaking off in #Uttarakhand. Praying everyone's safety there."

Dia Mirza, who is vocal about environmental issues, said man-made constructions in the Himalayas contributed to the tragedy.

The Sanju actor highlighted the matter in human, economic and ecological costs of climate change, and shared the disaster operations helpline number for help.
Taapsee Pannu took to her Twitter and called the tragedy 'man-made disasters'. The actor also said that nature is paying us back for playing with it.
