Uttar Pradesh Shocker: Man Sews Wife's Genitals Together As 'Fidelity Test'

Uttar Pradesh man sews wife's genitals in order to 'test' her fidelity towards him and their marriage. The incident occurred in Milak area, Rampur on Saturday, following the husband's suspicions of an extra-marital affair.

After asking if she would be willing to prove his loyalty to him, the man tied her limbs together and sewed her privates with an aluminum thread. He fled the scene after carrying out this act, which left his wife bleeding and injured. Police arrested him the same evening, as per reports.

Man Sews Wife's Genitals Over Suspicions Of Adultery

News agency IANS reports the woman managed to get through to her mother after the assault, after which she was rushed to hospital and a police complaint was filed. Doctors at the hospital confirmed the violent attack had taken place and she was under treatment.

Rampur SP Shogun Gautam was quoted saying, "The medical examination of the woman has confirmed that she has suffered serious injuries. We have arrested her husband and he will be sent to jail. We are ensuring that she gets proper treatment at the district hospital."

The survivor also alleged that she had often been domestically abused by her husband, who was employed as a driver.
