Who is Uttar Pradesh’s JEE Mains Topper Pal Aggarwal: Pal Aggarwal, 17, a student from Ghaziabad has scored 99.98 percentile in Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2021 and topped the JEE Mains in Uttar Pradesh. The National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the results on Monday evening. The first round of the JEE-Main held last month.
Here are five things to know about UP Topper Pal Aggarwal:
1. 17-year-old Aggarwal, who has not only topped in her state but also ranked fourth among female candidates, is not satisfied with her score. She said she would attempt the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main again with an aim to score 100 percentile. Aggarwal said she is now prepping to focus only on her “weak points” and target to increase her “test-taking” skill.
2. She aspires to become an astronaut and wants to graduate in aerospace engineering. “It was a double celebration at our house. First, I emerged as UP topper in JEE (Mains) and second, it happened on International Women’s Day,” said the student of Seth Anandram Jaipuria School.
3. Pal Aggarwal is also preparing to appear in CBSE Class 12 examination in May this year. Aggarwal will have to skip the March attempt and appear in the April attempt for JEE Main 2021, she told. As many as six people are said to have score 100 percentile in the first session of JEE mains and none of the female students could crack it. Aggarwal wishes to change that. Read more about it here.
4. Pal Aggarwal also wishes to top JEE Advanced – IIT entrance test. She has already got admission into IISc Bangalore by clearing the KVPY entrance.
5. Her mother, Rakhi Aggarwal, is a clinical psychologist and her father, Vishal Aggarwal, runs his own business.
