Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced a compensation of Rs 15 lakh and construction of a ‘Prerna Sthal' and a library in memory of deceased student Sudiksha Bhati. The family members of the student who died in a road mishap last month met the chief minister at his official residence in Lucknow on Sunday.
A government spokesperson said that Sudiksha Bhati's father, mother and maternal uncle met the chief minister along with Noida MP Surendra Nagar and Dadri MLA Tejpal Nagar.

Bhati died on August 10 in a road crash in Bulandshahr district while she was riding pillion on a motorcycle with her younger cousin, a minor. Sudiksha,20, was a resident of Deri Scanar village in Gautam Buddh Nagar's Dadri. She was pursuing a graduation course in entrepreneurship in the US, on a scholarship and was scheduled to go back on August 20.

Sudiksha Bhati
Sudiksha Bhati, a student of Babson College, USA, died in a road accident on August 10. According to news sources, she was on her way to meet her relatives in Sikandrabad with her uncle Manoj Bhati when the incident happened.
Following the accident, Bhati's family alleged that the road crash took place because two unidentified motorcycle-borne men were “following” her two-wheeler and harassing her. Countering their narrative, the Bulandshahr police clarified that some people were “trying to twist the narrative of the incident," and that the girl was not being harassed at the time of the accident.

In connection with the road accident, the police have arrested two people- Deepak Choudhary and Raju on the basis of CCTV footage.
