Two days back a terrible storm hit New York where a US woman rescued mentally disabled man from the blizzard. Joey had fourth-degree frostbite and Sha'Kyra with the help of her spouse treated Joey.

Two days back a terrible storm hit New York where a US woman rescued mentally disabled man from the blizzard. Joey had fourth-degree frostbite and Sha'Kyra with the help of her spouse treated Joey.

Sha'Kyra had rushed outside her home when she heard a cry for help. She found Joey, a 64-year-old mentally disabled man, and got him inside her home. With the help of her spouse, Sha-Kyra treated Joey once she found out he had frostbite. 

US Woman Rescues Disabled Man Stuck In Blizzard

Joey's pants were frozen and stuck to his legs and the straps of a bag were stuck to his hand. Sha'Kyra cut Joey's socks and used a blow dryer on his pants to dry them. She also cut the straps of the bag that were stuck to Joey's hand. 

She washed him and gave Joey blankets so that he was warm and comfortable. She also reached out to social media for help to carry Joey to the hospital. When Joey was on his way to the burn unit at the hospital, accompanying him Sha-Kyra comforted him: "No one is going to hurt you, honey"

Sha'Kyra called Joey's sister saying the following: "Hi, you don't know me, but I have your brother." This information surfaced in a tweet by @KimberlyLaRussa. The tweet further went on to disclose that Joey's sister had assumed that he had gone to work. However, Joey felt scared because of the rough blizzard and decided to stay over. Immediately after which Sha'Kyra heard his cry for help.

Shared two days back, this touching act has over 1 lakh views on Twitter. Netizens came forward conveying their wish to donate for Joey's hospital bills in the comments section of the tweet.

"She is truly an angel. If anyone knows of a funding site for Joey's hospital bills or thank you site to Sha'Kyra please share. "

As per Twitter comments, the selfless act immediately after Christmas reinstated people's faith in humanity. Some called Sha'Kyra an angel for her service. 

A user said, "There are some angels in this world. Thank you for sharing this story. It's too easy to just give up on humanity, and it's depravity. This gives pause."

Another user remarked, "A remarkable and selfless woman. We need more Sha'Kyras in this world."
