US Casino Mogul, Steve Wynn, has been accused of rape. Two unidentified women had filed police reports 40 years ago, accusing Wynn of rape and of firing a worker who refused to sleep with him.
One woman said that she gave birth to a daughter after Wynn raped her three times. In one accusation, a woman has said that he pinned her against the refrigerator and raped her. He then made a phone call, kissed her on the cheek and left.
Another woman said she had begun having consensual sex with him, but he had fired her after she refused him.
Wynn stepped down as CEO Of Wynn Resorts earlier this year after he was accused of sexual misconduct. He also resigned as finance chair for the Republican National Committee. The former CEO has apparently made inappropriate comments, from touching and soliciting sex acts from women who worked as manicurists and massage therapists
Denied accusations
“The idea that I ever assaulted any woman is preposterous,” Wynn said in a January statement. “We find ourselves in a world where people can make allegations, regardless of the truth, and a person is left with the choice of weathering insulting publicity or engaging in multi-year lawsuits. It is deplorable for anyone to find themselves in this situation.”
Wynn Resorts is facing scrutiny by gambling regulators in Nevada and Massachusetts. Regulators in Macau, where the company has two casinos, are also inquiring about the allegations.
Groups of shareholders have filed lawsuits in state court in Las Vegas. They have accused Wynn and the board of directors of Wynn Resorts of breaching their fiduciary duties by ignoring what the lawsuits described as a longstanding pattern of sexual abuse and harassment by the company's founder.
