A six-year-old girl's body was found in Bhadtras village of Ghatampur in Kanpur. Internal organs of the body were reportedly missing. Investigation till now has revealed that she was murdered by unidentified men who took away her organs including lungs. Police has arrested two youths in the relation of the murder. Meanwhile, Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath announced financial aid of 5 lakh rupees for the family of a six-year-old girl murdered in Kanpur. He also announced that the perpetrators of the incident that happened on Saturday, Diwali night, will be punished.
As per reports, two youth, Ankur and Virandra, accused in the murder have been arrested by police. The two who are the neighbours of the deceased have confessed that they abducted the girl in the name of purchasing a packet of chips fro her.
Taking to Twitter, Adityanath said "The culprits in the Kanpur incident will not be spared. My sympathies are with the aggrieved family members (of the murdered minor girl). " He further added, "The government will provide financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh to the family. The guilty will be punished by getting the matter heard in a fast track court.” As per the reports of TOI, the family members of the deceased have alleged that the girl’s murder was a result of occult practice of Black Magic on Diwali night. While the police have speculated that it could be an animal attack also.

The girl was last seen playing near her house on Saturday evening after which she went missing. According to the deceased’s father, she accompanied a local youth who to purchase firecrackers around 6 pm in the evening of Saturday. Then on Sunday, her body was found in the fields by local villagers. As per the police, the injury marks on her body suggested that she was killed by a sharp-edged weapon.
Chance of sexual assault on the deceased is still not confirmed as the police hasn’t received the postmortem reports yet. Since the girl went missing on Diwali night, the family filed an FIR at the Kotwali police station against unidentified men. "Her body was in a badly mutilated state. Police have shifted the body to mortuary for an autopsy to ascertain exact cause of death, before roping in FSL team and dog squad," said Preetinder Singh, inspector general of Kanpur had said earlier. The Police had detained few suspects as named by the family while the investigation is still underway. Moreover, force has been deployed in the village to keep a check on any outrage that the case might incite.
