In yet another shocking incident, a police official allegedly assaulted a minor gangrape survivor after pressurising her family to quash allegations of the case
According to reports, the gang rape took place in Morar, where the young girl worked as domestic help, on January 31. The house owner’s grandson and his friends were named as the accused in the case, however, no arrests were made immediately.
The rape survivor, who belonged to the Scheduled Caste, revealed details of the alleged sexual assault by the house owner's grandson and friends to her family, following which they went to Morar police station to file an FIR under the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989.
