Missing UP Girl Body Found In Neighbour's Metal Trunk, Accused Taken Into Custody

The deceased father recalled the last day he saw the deceased to news media and said that his daughter had asked for Rs. 5 to buy something and she went out to get it.

Two days ago, a six-year-old girl at Hapur town in Uttar Pradesh went missing, her body was found on December 4 by the police inside a locked trunk at the neighbour's house. The owner of the house has been arrested and was rescued by the police while the mob in a video clip attacked the accused.

The deceased went missing on Thursday and a police complaint was registered on Friday by the deceased family. On Saturday morning, today, when a stench started coming out of a neighbour's house, police were informed and they went in with a unit and found the body of the deceased.

UP Girl Body Found In Trunk:

The Superintendent of Hapur Police Sarvesh Kumar Mishra said that the body of the deceased has been sent for post-mortem. On the basis of the autopsy reports, the police will be able to determine if it was a rape case or not. According to Mishra, the complaint was filed yesterday and the police were informed of some unpleasant smell today. Since the front door of the neighbour was closed, they broke in and entered with a field unit.

While they were taking the owner of the house into custody, he was attacked by a mob. The police surrounded him as a shield and safely took him away. This was captured in a video along with the visuals of the metal trunk, where the body was discovered with some other clothes.

But she never returned and the family started searching for her. On Friday, they registered the case. Then the CCTV footage, which was installed in the place, was scrutinised and he reportedly identified his daughter being first taken on a bike by the accused and then taken into the house.

As per the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), 99 percent of the crime reported against children were reported under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Out of 28, 327 children who faced sexual violence under POCSO Act, 28,058 were girls.
