Stalker Stabs Chennai Techie Outside Home: A Chennai man stabbed a 22-Year-Old software engineer in Chennai on Thursday for allegedly ending their relationship. The accused, identified as Sudhakar, reportedly stalked the techie Premalatha for over a month and stabbed her in the stomach.

As per reports, Premlatha and Sudhakar were in a relationship since their school days, but the couple decided to part ways after Premlatha joined a software firm while Sudhakar was running a mobile recharge shop. Premlatha alleged her former boyfriend's behaviour as unacceptable, due to which the two parted ways.

However, Sudhakar reportedly kept on convincing Premlatha after she started avoiding him. This continued for some time when Sudhakar turned angry over his rejection and began to allegedly stalk the young woman. Premlatha reportedly threatened the accused of a police complaint if he continued to stalk and harass her.

Sudhakar reportedly went to her residence where she lives with her mother, at close to 5 am on Thursday. Puzhal police of Chennai said that the accused threatened to create a ruckus if the woman didn't come out of the house to meet him. After refusing initially, when Premlatha finally stepped out and met him, the accused reportedly stabbed her in the stomach and left her bleeding.

Premlatha was spotted in the bleeding condition by her mother who got alerted by her cries. She was immediately rushed to the Stanley Government hospital for treatment.

As per the FIR registered, charges under section sections 447 (criminal trespass), 448 (house-trespass), 294(B) (sings, recites, or utters any obscenities in a public place), 334 (voluntarily causes hurt on grave and sudden provocation) and 307 (attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code have been registered in the name of Sudhakar.

The Puzhal police informed that they are underway of nabbing the accused as further investigations are awaited.
