The UN named Bangladesh Supreme Court lawyer Sara Hossain, Pakistani law professor Shaheen Sardar Ali, and rights activist Viviana Krsticevic are the women who would probe the violent crackdown on the protests.
The council presidency added that the long-time human rights activist Hossain will chair the investigation.
