After Russia attacked Ukraine, many lives have been lost and homes uprooted. During this chaos, a heartwarming story was reported from the frontlines of the battlefield where two soldiers got married to each other wearing their uniforms.

In the video that has now gone viral on the internet, soldiers Lesya and Valeriy can be seen celebrating their union near Kyiv. The soldiers with the territorial defence of the 112th Battalions of Kyiv Special Troop Brigade did not want to wait for the war to be before. They already have an 18-year-old daughter together and never got the time to get married.As per reports, the soldier couple has been together for twenty years.

Lesya was seen holding flowers and both the groom and bride had champagne flute glasses in their hands to celebrate the occasion. The couple was surrounded with their comrades who were heard singing local songs. One of the soldier was also seen playing a traditional Ukrainian musical instrument. The bride, Lesya, was donning a white veil along with her uniform replacing the helmet. She was seen holding Valeriy's hand.

Reportedly, the video was first shared by a reported named Paul Ronzheimer who works for German news organisation Bild. Soon, the video got picked up by many others and has received over thousand vides by now.

Almost 13 days ago, Russia invaded Ukraine and their attacks have now intensified. Bombings have been reported in the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv and other areas like Mariupol, Sumy and Kharkiv. At the personal request of French President Emmanuel Macron, Russian ministry of defence has again announced to open humanitarian corridors in many Ukrainian cities.

According to reports, many civilians faced the heat of the war. They were killed in the battle of Chernihiv in the north Ukraine and some of them are reported to be living among ruins or craters. Recently, Russian missiles destroyed Vinnytsia airport in central Ukraine, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky claimed.

The United Nations reported that 1.5 million of Ukraine have fled the country and this could amount to one of the biggest refugee crisis since the Second World War.

Pope Francis in his address refused to use the term "military operation" used by Russia to describe its actions. He said, "In Ukraine, rivers of blood and tears are flowing. This is not only a military operation but a war which is leading to death, destruction and misery." Different actions are being taken against Russia from all quarters. Global streaming services such as Netflix have also cut ties with Russia due to the latter's attacks on Ukraine.
