An incredible moment of a Ukraine woman confronting Russian soldiers, standing armed on the streets, and giving them an earful has gone viral on social media. This comes amid Russia launching an invasion into its neighbouring country on February 24 that has prompted global alarm of large-scale war. Several rousing videos are surfacing from ground zero in Eastern Europe.
While global and local media are bringing timely updates, many of these visuals surfacing on social media feeds are coming from Ukrainian citizens themselves, as they react to the escalation in geopolitical tensions. The video of the unnamed woman cursing a uniformed Russian soldier, as per reports, is one such surreal moment captured on camera.
The approximately 20-second long clip was recorded in Kherson region, local reports suggest.

"Who are you? Are you Russian?" the woman asks a soldier, as per a transcript of their exchange shared by journalist Chris Taylor. He tells her they are performing some "exercises" and that their discussion will "lead to nothing."
"You're occupants, you're fascists! What the f*ck are you doing on our land with all these guns? Take these seeds and put them in your pockets so at least sunflowers will grow when you all lie down here," she says, reportedly offering him sunflower seeds. The sunflower is the national flower of Ukraine.
The soldier continues to ask her not to "escalate" the situation, while she responds saying, "You are cursed... How can it be escalated? You f*cking came here uninvited. Pieces of shit."

A second video has surfaced of their exchange, this one purportedly recorded by the Ukrainian woman herself. The camera is not angled in a way that it shows the soldier's face or hers. Reports suggest she is a local resident of the area.
Netizens on Twitter are lauding her for the courage she exhibited, confronting an armed soldier alone. "That is one badass woman right there," one user wrote. "I need this memorialized somehow. This is poetry," another wrote, responding to the 'sunflower seeds' line.
"This woman is my hero," wrote another.
