With Women’s T20 Challenge round the corner, Twitter India and the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) recently decided to join hands in launching seven new custom emojis around the league, along with its teams and the respective captains. To activate these emojis, fans would have to tweet using the following hashtags: #MithaliRaj or #Mithali, #Harmanpreet or #Harman, #Smriti or #SM18, #WomensT20Challenge, #Velocity, #Supernovas, and #Trailblazers.
Twitter India released the emojis on its handle
Twitter India tweeted about this interesting update during the noon of November 2 in a gif. Notably, this will be the first time that an Indian women’s sports league would get its own Twitter emoji during a cricket series. These emojis have been released for an enhanced experience for the fans during the ongoing of the Challenge. Users will be able to cheer and show instant support to their favourite teams, players and captains. Furthermore, fans would be able to participate in live conversations in addition to following the conversations.
