Chiki Sarkar, Founder-Editor, Juggernaut Books, told SheThePeople.TV: "I absolutely adored this book -- it's pure storytelling, combining humour and wisdom and absolute page-turnability. I felt proud too as Twinkle's editor to see her mature as a writer. She's kept all the qualities we loved in her first book but has written a book with more depth and ambition and deliciousness."
Husband, Akshay Kumar, also tweeted his support of his wife's new literary undertaking:
.@mrsfunnybones is back with what she does best (aside from making jokes about me) writing funny and wise stories #TheLegendOfLakshmiPrasad https://t.co/tMgmDn04KP

Following the twitter campaign, the book shot to number 3 on the Amazon pre-order list. The book will be available from November 7.
Khanna's memoir, Mrs Funnybones, was a massive hit, and sold over one lakh copies. Khanna was the highest selling female author in 2015. Khanna's self-deprecating humour and her amusing portrayal of life as a mother, daughter, and daughter-on-law resonated with a lot of women.
Here are some particularly funny lines from the book:
"When I was a newly-wed, she sat me down and explained, ‘Two tigers cannot live in the same field."
"The man of the house has very politely informed guests who have come to see the baby that I am unavailable, as I am ‘milking’, and thereby sealed my status from cool chick to mooing cow."
11 a.m. Sitting in front of the computer and drinking coffee, I spot an email from my accountant stating, “Dear Madam, My sister very dangerous. I want to saw her. Please give leave three days! Good day, Sreenivasan.”
