The earthquake-hit regions in Syria and Turkey have suffered unfathomable losses in the past few days. With over twenty thousand deaths reported to date and more on the rise, the misery is unending for the residents who have lost their families. Search and rescue operations are currently underway, with forces from around the world flying in to help the two countries. Several Indian Army officers are presently in Turkey, offering aid in all their power. Many survivors are now under treatment at the Indian Army Camp, among which one such survivor is a little girl who was recently rescued from under the rubble.
The 6-year-old Turkish girl was pulled out from under the rubble of a collapsed building after she was stuck there for three days. She is currently under treatment at the Indian Army Camp.
Turkish Girl At Indian Army Camp
Rescue operations are in full swing at devastation sites in Syria and Turkey after a massive earthquake recently hit the two regions. On Thursday, they rescued a little girl, all six years of age, who was stuck under building debris for about three days. The rescuers pulled her out from the rubble and immediately rushed her to the Parafield hospital of the Indian Army in Turkey.
The girl, identified as Nasreen, was seen sharing a heartwarming moment with an officer of the Indian Army. As per reports, Nasreen was brought to the camp in the morning and was unstable at the time. She even carried crush injuries on her foot. The doctors at the camp reported that she is now stable and under treatment.
While Nasreen's mother was rescued from the debris too, her father and siblings are still missing. "Five members of her family were all under the debris. While Nasreen and her mother are safe, her father and brothers remain missing," an official reported.
Operation Dost
In an endeavour to provide all the possible help to the disaster-hit nations, India launched Operation Dost to extend all assistance in the regions. In an earlier moving photo coming in from Turkey, a Turkish woman was seen embracing an Indian Army Officer after she was rescued.
The Indian Army is said to have mobilised a 99-member medical team in Turkey. The first batch comprising 45 members from the Agra Army base field has already landed in Turkey and is carrying forward the aid operations.
