TikTok Star Fun Bucket Bhargav has now been arrested for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl in Vishakapatnam. Fun Bucket Bhargav who is also known as Chippada Bhargav has been booked under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act along with other sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) by the Andhra Pradesh police.
Apart from the POCSO Act, Fun Bucket Bhargav has also been booked under section 376 (Punishment for sexual assault), 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman) of the Indian Penal Code. He is now in Vishakapatnam for his alleged crime.
A police personnel from Pendurthi said that they arrested Bhargav in Hyderabad, and as this is a POCSO case, the police have transferred it to the Disha Police in Visakhapatnam. The Disha Nagar Police stations were set up for probing into crimes committed against women and children in Andhra Pradesh. This development happened after the brutal gangrape and murder of a veterinary doctor in Hyderabad in the year 2019.
Meanwhile, Disha Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Prem Kajal commissioner said that Fun Bucket Bhargav had promised many offers to the minor after watching her TikTok videos. "He had proposed to the survivor and she had rejected him. But he blackmailed her saying he had her explicit videos. The survivor is also pregnant," she said as per reports.
The ACP also added that the accused had been produced before the Judicial Magistrate, and has now been sent for judicial remand till May 3. A white-coloured Nissan vehicle, and a mobile phone belonging to the accused has already been confiscated by the police.
Besides this, the police have also warned people against sharing pictures of the survivor on social media. Strict action will be taken against such acts.
Fun Bucket Bhargav arrested after complaint was lodged by survivor's family
Fun Bucket Bhargav became immensely popular with his comic TikTok videos that had the "Oh my God! Oh my God!" line which subsequently grabbed by brands such as Twitter, Swiggy, etc. The sexual assault came out in the open, after the minor girl's family lodged a complaint with the Pendurthi police station under the Visakhapatnam commissionerate on April 16. The complaint was filed after the family realised that the rape survivor is four months pregnant.
