Following the recent gangrape of a 35-year-old woman in a car moving from Gurgaon to Noida, the police have arrested three accused in the case. The car in which the heinous crime took place has been seized, ANI reported on Thursday (June 22).
The rape survivor is originally from Rajasthan and had come to Gurgaon in search of work. She was living with her relative on Sohna Road for the past two weeks. On Monday (June 19), the accused forcefully pushed her into their car in Gurgaon and allegedly raped gangraped her as they drove from Gurgaon to Noida.
A case of gangrape under Section 376D of Indian Penal Code (IPC) was registered at Kasna police station in Noida. The woman in her FIR had said that three men abducted her in a car near Sahara Mall on MG Road in Gurgaon.
“She claimed the men took turns to rape her as the car continued to move, crossing the Delhi-Gurgaon and then the Delhi-Noida border before she was finally thrown out of the car in Greater Noida’s Kasna area,” the police said, reported Indian Express.

After the incident, a paaserby found the woman lying on the road around 4 am and immediately alerted the police about it. After the survivor was rescued, she was given first aid and then taken to a government hospital in Noida for a medical check-up where it was established that she had been raped, the police said.
After being discharged from the hospital, the survivor identified the spot from where the accused abducted her. She has also recorded her statement with the Gurgaon police station in sector-29.
