Three more claims against soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo have been made after Kathryn Mayorga, a former Las Vegas Model, recently accused him of raping her in 2009.
Attorney confirms second woman phoned him
Mayorga’s attorney, Leslie Stovall, said another woman has contacted him and made the same claims, according to a report. Stovall has passed on the details of the woman's account to the Las Vegas police. He has declined to name the woman. As per reports, one woman has claimed that Ronaldo raped her after a party. The second mentioned she was 'hurt by Ronaldo' and a third said she signed a non-disclosure agreement with the footballer in 2009, according to the lawyer.
However, other than the woman who claims she was raped, it is not clear whether the other allegations relate to sexual misconduct. Stovall, talking about the woman who contacted him, said that he received a call which accounted to a relatable situation to that of Mayorga. “I have had a call from a woman who claims to have had a similar experience
Mayorga had claimed that Ronaldo raped her in 2009 in the penthouse of a Las Vegas hotel. Stovall confirmed he is probing the three other claims. “I am following up to verify this information,” he told The Sun.
Although Stovall declined to name the American woman, he said he would hand over her details to the police
The Las Vegas police department has reopened the 2009 alleged rape case against Ronaldo as the survivor has filed a lawsuit.
This comes after German magazine Der Spiegel revealed more details of Mayorga's £287,000 non-disclosure agreement. The two parties had apparently signed the agreement in 2010. It stated that Mayorga would receive the money in seven days. It also mentioned that if she contracted an STD, Ronaldo would take a test to rule him out or confirm him as the source.
The documents also reveal that in a leaked questionnaire, which Ronaldo filled in and sent to his lawyers, he admits to the assault. "She said 'no' and 'stop' several times," he had written.
Ronaldo denies accusations
Ronaldo has denied Mayorga's rape accusation. "Rape is an abominable crime that goes against everything that I am and believe in," he tweeted.
I firmly deny the accusations being issued against me. Rape is an abominable crime that goes against everything that I am and believe in. Keen as I may be to clear my name, I refuse to feed the media spectacle created by people seeking to promote themselves at my expense.
