A non-bailable warrant has been issued against the woman who has accused Bahujan Samaj Party's Member of Parliament, Atul Rai of sexual assault. She is accused of forgery.

Here's everything we know about the case
- The Member of Parliament from Ghosi in Mau, Atul Rai has been in jail since June 2019 in connection to the case of sexual assault.
- The woman is a resident of Mau and claimed that the MP had raped her for nearly a year. According to reports, she had claimed that Rai had “made a video” and threatened to circulate it on social media.
- The MP's brother Pawan Kumar later accused her of forgery. According to the complaint, the woman had allegedly hidden her date of birth and age. He referred to a previous complaint made by the woman wherein she accused a student leader of a college in Uttar Pradesh of molestation.
- Kumar had said that the woman claimed her date of birth to be March 10, 1997, in a high school marks sheet. She had produced the document while for an FIR registered against the student leader in 2015.
- When the woman filed the rape case against Atul Rai, her high school marks sheet allegedly read June 10, 1997, as her date of birth.
- According to the police statement, a warrant was issued as the woman "remained untraceable despite several raids."
- The police lodged an FIR against the woman and an associate after a court’s directive, according to a report.
- She is accused under sections 419 (cheating by personation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), 467 (forgery of valuable security, will, etc) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy), among others.
- Girja Shankar, the sub-inspector who is the Investigating Officer in the forgery case said that the police are still investigating the case and are currently looking for the woman.
