The safety of children is a concerning matter these days. Working parents have to leave their children in the care of strangers like nannies and caretakers which can sometimes become seriously dangerous considering former cases of child abuse. Leaving them alone with strangers is a bit concerning but even public places like schools are not safe.

There have been many cases of teachers assaulting school children over trivial matters and not each one of them comes to notice. However, one such case in Mumbai's Kandivali region did not go unnoticed thanks to the CCTV camera installed in the classroom.

The issue came to notice when the parents observed certain changes in the behaviour of their kids. There are around 28 kids studying in the play school and almost everyone's parents noticed that their child is becoming more aggressive these days. They would hit people and throw angry fits over things which concerned the parents. On talking to each other, they came to know that it was not only their child but almost every child in the class who has become like this. They approached the owners of the school and when they checked the CCTV footage, they came to know that the children were being assaulted by two play school teachers.

The teachers would beat them brutally, pinch their cheek, hit them with books, slap them and even throw them on the floor and drag them. This was the reason behind their children becoming aggressive lately. The parents retrieved a copy of the classroom footage and filed a complaint against the two teachers. The footage available is of the period between January 2023 and March 2023 which shows the teachers assaulting children. The police have filed a case against the two of them under the Juvenile Justice Act 2015, Section 26 and are investigating to find out if the teachers have assaulted children before January 2023.
