Singapore: Former Teacher Jailed For Showing Porn To Underage Student

In a shocking incident, a former teacher showed a pornographic video to a 12-year-old boy. The incident happened in Singapore last year and the teacher has now been jailed. Read on to learn more about the incident.

According to reports, the teacher was working as a lecturer Institute of Technical Education (ITE) College East teaching students aged 17-25. His name is Kenneth Loh Jiahui. Last year, Jiahui followed the boy to the elevator and showed him the video. 

How the teacher stalked and harassed the boy

The teacher confessed in court that he was making a delivery in Pasir Rais on June 8 2023 when he saw the boy at a bus stand. He further said that he wanted to "tease and arouse" the boy, considering him as an easy target. He wanted to see the reaction of the boy after seeing the video.

Then, he followed the boy to the elevator of his apartment. In the elevator lobby, the man quickly opened the pornographic website. When they entered the lift, the teacher opened one of the pornographic videos, showed it to the boy and smiled. He asked the boy if he had seen such videos before. The boy promptly shook his head and turned it away. 

The teacher again showed him the video by putting his arms around the boy's shoulders.

Actions against the teacher

As soon as his floor arrived, the boy jumped out of the elevator and ran towards his home. He told about the incident to his mother who called the police. 

The teacher was caught with the help of the CCTV. He has been sentenced to five months and two weeks in jail by the court.  

In the year 2020, a man in Mumbai was arrested for showing a pornographic video to a 14-year-old girl. Then in the year 2017, a teacher in Karnataka was thrashed by locals and arrested for showing pornographic videos to his female students. Reportedly, he even harassed those students.
