Taylor Swift just pulled off her biggest, the most colourful song yet. She has been teasing fans about an April 26 surprise for weeks, and now the song just dropped titled, “ME!” After the hype and weeks of speculation, the singer-songwriter finally released her new single earlier today, featuring musician Brendon Urie—the lead vocalist of the band Panic! at the Disco.
This 4-minute video is straight out of a fairy tale. Everything — I repeat — every single thing from our childhood fairy tale memory likes butterflies, rainbows, unicorns, candy-floss and dreamy sequences are poetically framed and paired with shades of blues, pinks, greens and yellows.
This was the pop star's first album after her 2017 album Reputation. Talking about the song, Swift said, "Me! is a song about embracing your individuality and really celebrating it and owning it."
"I think with a pop song we have the ability to get a melody stuck in people's heads, and I just want it to be one that makes them feel better about themselves," she told “Good Morning America” host Robin Roberts about the single.

The new jam goes like this:
“But one of these things is not like the others / Like a rainbow with all of the colors / Baby doll, when it comes to a lover / I promise that you’ll never find another like me.”
The pop star announced the news of a new song and video just hours before the release. “ME!” was written by Urie, Joel Little and Swift, according to Genius.
And, her Instagram is filled with clues coupled mysterious images. After dropping hints for weeks on Instagram, the 29-year-old finally shared the song on Friday.
Last year, Swift supported the Democratic Party, making a surprise appearance at Jack Antonoff’s Ally Coalition Benefit. She had also released a concert film titled Reputation on Netflix. Earlier this month on April 13, she began to share some very cryptic clues about her next project which eventually leads to a surprise on April 26. She’s also been sharing colourful images of everything from cats, to bedazzled hearts, to chickens wearing sunglasses.

Taylor said during her AMAs speech last year she looks at albums as chapters of her life, closing her speech with: "But actually, I have to be really honest with you about something: I’m even more excited about the next chapter."
Sharing a still of her and Urie from the song, she wrote, “ME! Out now! Made this song with @BrendonUrie and @iamJoelLittle. @Davemeyers and I co-directed the video. And everyone knows you can’t spell awesome without DAVEBRENDONJOEL. Oh wait...”
Swift further told Roberts, "The fans are amazing. I cannot believe how dedicated they are, how thoughtful, I can't believe how much they care. It makes it more fun for me to create music, to create music videos."
