Two female students from Uttar Pradesh topped the CBSE 12th exams. The CBSE 12th toppers Tanya Singh and Yuvakshi Vig scored 500/500.
Delhi Public School Bulandhahr student Tanya Singh and Amity International School student Yuvakshi Vig from Noida became the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) toppers with a score of 500/500. No official CBSE merit list has been released, but the DPS principal confirmed that Singh received full marks in the CBSE 12th result and is the topper.
Vig appeared for English, Political Science, History, Psychology, and Painting papers in the CBSE exams. She said that she was not expecting to get full marks in 12th. Vig said, “I had given all my attention to what I was doing and just hoped for the best possible outcome”. She hopes to study at Delhi University (DU) and appeared for papers on the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). The test is the basis of which admissions to all undergraduate programs across all central universities.
According to reports, CBSE has not announced a merit list to avoid unhealthy competition among students. The Board will issue merit certificates to 0.1 percent of the students that score the highest marks in the subject.
CBSE 12th Result
The CBSE 12th standard results were released on July 22 and 92.71 percent of the students passed.
Since no merit list has been released by CBSE yet, it is not confirmed whether Singh and Vig are the only CBSE toppers for this year. As per the results, 1,34,797 students received more than 90 percent marks and 33,432 students score more than 95 percent marks. The pass percentage for female students was at 94.54 percent, for male students, the pass percentage was 91.25 percent and for transgender students, the pass percentage was 100 percent.
CBSE 12th Marksheet
The CBSE 12th mark sheet consists of the marks from Term 1 and Term 2. The result contains the marks accumulated throughout the academic year, which includes internal assessment, project work, practical exams, and pre-board results.
For theory papers, Term 1 papers got a 30 percent weightage and Term 2 papers got a 70 percent weightage. In practical papers, the terms got equal weightage.
