A complaint was filed by a man in Chennai with the Director-General of Police (North Zone) and the Chengalpattu Superintendent of Police. The man alleged that his wife was having an extramarital affair with the inspector.

The accused police officer has been identified as Munisekar. The police have said that there no complaint has been filed at the police station. As per reports, the man used to question his wife about her frequent visits to the Tirukazhukundram police station and she used to claim that she was visiting her sister. After growing suspicion, the man reportedly checked her phone and found recordings of her video calls with the inspector.

Chengalpattu SP Vijayakumar Ponniah who issued the transfer order to Munisekar told Indian Express, “We have received a complaint and an inquiry is on, pending which the officer has been shifted to the IG Office vacancy reserve position. We will be carrying out further proceedings based on the outcome of the inquiry.”The video call recording has now gone viral on social media.

The husband reportedly confronted the police officer but was threatened by him. After this, he reached out to senior officials and filed an online complaint. The photographs of the police officer and recordings with the woman have been widely circulated on social media.
