Actor Tamannaah Bhatia took to social media on October 5 to inform followers that she had tested positive for COVID-19 earlier in the week. The actor further revealed she is now being discharged from the Hyderabad hospital she had admitted herself into. Writing it was "a strenuous week", she assured fans that she would be "self-isolating" and was "optimistic" she would fully recover soon. She had reportedly been shooting on a film set, following which she began experiencing coronavirus symptoms.

Fans Wish Tamannaah Bhatia A Speedy Recovery
In August, Bhatia shared on social media that her parents had tested positive for coronavirus after showing mild symptoms. In an Instagram post, she had written, "My parents were showing mild COVID-19 symptoms over the weekend and as a precautionary measure everyone at home underwent tests immediately. The results have just come in, and unfortunately my parents have tested positive... we are complying with the precautionary guidelines."
Bhatia has a large fan following, having found fame through a multitude of films in the Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi-language industries, including the landmark Baahubali: The Beginning and its sequel. She has been receiving a spate of wishes for a fast recovery on Twitter and Instagram.
In her upcoming Hindi film, Bole Chudiyan, directed by Shamas Nawab Siddiqui, Bhatia will be seen starring alongside Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The film is reportedly narrated by Ranbir Kapoor.

Other Celebs Who Tested Positive For COVID-19
Several Bollywood celebs have in the past few months taken to social media, as Bhatia did, to inform their followers of having contracted COVID-19. Abhishek Bachchan, and father Amitabh Bachchan, most notably, had tested positive in July, and undergone treatment at Mumbai's Nanavati Hospital. Both had kept fans updated on their conditions throughout, advising them to take necessary precautions to avoid the virus.
In September, Malaika Arora Khan and Arjun Kapoor also tested positive for COVID-19. Other notable personalities from the film industry who successfully recovered from the virus are Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Kanika Kapoor, Aishwarya Arjun, Rajeshwari Sachdev, Aftab Shivdasani, and Himansh Kohli.
