Tahira Kashyap Announces New Book 'The 7 Sins Of Being A Mother'

Tahira Kashyap book: The writer and director on Sunday took to social media to make a special announcement for her "sinful and hopefully delightful" upcoming book titled The 7 Sins of Being a Mother. 

The 38-year-old, on her decision to break the news today, said, "I love dads (mine and my kids’)- but on Father’s Day I want to share some special news about my new book!!" 

In a series of photos on Instagram, Kashyap shared the book title reveal with fans and her "calmness about it." Fans have reacted with excitement, in anticipation of the motherhood nuggets Kashyap is expected to drop in her next.

Tahira Kashyap Book Titles: A Look At Her Works

Kashyap, wife of actor Ayushmann Khurrana, has also co-authored his autobiography Cracking The Code: My Journey In Bollywood. 

A popular title to her solo credit is The 12 Commandments of Being a Woman published in 2020. Kashyap is known for being a fierce advocate of gender equality and takedowns of patriarchy through sharp wit. She is also a columnist for Times of India. 

Earlier this year in January, along with producers Guneet Monga and Ekta Kapoor, Kashyap announced the launch of Indian Women Rising - a collective for platforming women-centric stories and boosting the work of women creators.

Talking about the importance of giving women space to tell their stories, Kashyap had said, "There is a limited amount of work represented about women and the scope reduces further when it’s by the women…. Since there is representation of limited material when it concerns women and their stories, we easily get stereotyped."
