An 18-month-old Syrian toddler escaped unscathed from the rubble of her home after it collapsed in a huge earthquake. Tragically, most of her family did not survive.
The toddler, Raghad Ismail was cradled in the arms of a rescue worker when she emerged from the ruins in the Syrian city of Azaz.
Her uncle told Reuters, "The father is feared to have his back broken, his young daughter is fine. His pregnant wife, his five-year-old daughter and his four-year-old son have all been killed".

Supreme Court Stays Kerala HC Order Directing Woman To Undertake Counselling
The Supreme Court stayed an order passed by the Kerala high court directing a woman, who is stated to be in a same-sex relationship to undertake counselling.
The woman's partner approached the Supreme Court and challenged the high court order.
The petioner's counsel told the bench that the high court had directed the woman to undergo gender sensitisation counselling and pointed out that the Madras high court had recently passed directions against coercing LGBTQ+ people to undergo counselling.

A 37-year-old woman was recently arrested for allegedly impersonating an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer in Gurgaon. She took the step as she wished to become a civil servant but couldn't clear the UPSC exam.
Mother Buries Newborn Baby Alive
A 26-year-old woman buried her one-day-old daughter alive in the forest area in Nayagaon. The infant was rescued and rushed to the hospital, but tragically passed away after fighting for her life.
The woman's husband claimed she was mentally unwell and was getting treament at a private hospital.
Calcutta High Court Says Forcing Girl To Remove Undergarments Would Amount To Rape
The Calcutta high court held that removing the undergarments of a minor girl and forcing her to lie down would amount to rape under Section 375 of the Indian Penal Code.
The Single-judge Justice Ananya Bandyopadhyay said the actions by the stranger were with malicious intent and noted that the convicted had lured the girl to an isolated area.
