Sylvester Stallone, Jennifer Flavin divorce: Did A Dog Cause The Separation?

Sylvester Stallone and Jennifer Flavin have reportedly decided to get separated after 25 years of marriage. Jennifer Flavin filed for divorce on 19 August. Several tabloids speculated that the couple is separating over a dog. The actor had also recently covered up a tattoo of his wife Flavin's portrait with one of his late dogs, Butkus.

Stallone disagreed about dog being the reason for their divorce, according to a Page Six report. The actor said, “We did not end the relationship on such a trivial argument. We did disagree over how to care for the dog given they often travel and live in two homes."

Sylvester Stallone's agent in a statement said, "Mr. Stallone intended to refresh the tattoo image of his wife Jennifer, but the results were unsatisfactory and, unfortunately, unfixable. As a result, he had to cover the original image with a tattoo of his dog from Rocky, Butkus." Stallone's cover-up tattoo features a portrait of the bullmastiff, a dog who died in 1981 from a heart attack, according to a report.

Stallone, 76, recently brought Rottweiler, Dwight. Flavin was unhappy about having another pet, while Stallone wanted the dog for protection. A disagreement over the dog triggered other arguments that brought up bottled-up issues. Jennifer apparently claimed her spouse was moving martial money around improperly. 

Talking to People Magazine about her marriage and separation, Jennifer Flavin said, "I am sad to announce that after 25 years of marriage. I have filed for divorce from my husband Sylvester Stallone. While we will no longer be married, I will always cherish the more than the 30-year relationship that we shared, and I know we are both committed to our beautiful daughters."

Flavin is an American former model and an entrepreneur. 

Sylvester Stallone and Jennifer Flavin were reportedly the most happening couple in the town. The couple married in May 1997, together they have three daughters: Scarlet, 20, Sistine, 24, and Sophia, 25. Stallone and Flavin married in 1997 after first meeting in 1988 at a restaurant in Beverly Hills, California.
