Minor Girl Sold Twice Within 5 Months

A 17-year-old girl hailing from Madhya Pradesh was abducted more than 5 months ago and was sold twice within that time period. After fleeing from her second husband, she was rescued by government railway police (GRP) personnel.

The class 10 student was at a train station ready to embark on a trip when she met some youths. She was offered spiked food and fainted after consuming the food and drink.

She was then forced to marry a 27-year-old man who accidentally died after consuming pesticide. Her in-laws got her married off to another person.

Karnataka Student Attacked For Speaking With Girl

A male student was allegedly attacked for talking to a girl in the Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka. The student was allegedly beaten by right-wing activists on Tuesday, May 2, and admitted to a government hospital.

The teenager had gone to meet his classmate when they were attacked. He alleged that despite him telling his assaulters that he and the girl were friends, they continued to beat him using lathis and wires.
