She is a record breaker. Meet Apurvi Chandela who has picked the highest score ever in the Women’s 10m air rifle group. The stellar shooter shot 211.2 at the Swedish Cup Grand Prix. She also won a gold medal for it. With this score, the 23-year-old has broken all world records.

The silver and bronze were won by Swedish shooters Astrid Steffensen and Stine Nielsen who shot 207.6 and 185.0 respectively.
“This gold at Sweden has further strengthened my resolve to bag a medal at the Rio Olympics this year,” Apurvi was quoted by PTI as saying after breaking the world record. "The support, encouragement and wishes received from my well wishers from Rajasthan has stood me in good stead in various international tournaments,” reported International Business Times.

The earlier record was made by Yi Siling who is an Olympic gold medallist from China. Siling’s record stood at 211, which Chandela broke by 0.2 point. She qualified for the Olympics that are going to happen in Rio this year in April 2015. Chandela won a bronze medal in the 10m air rifle event in the ISSF World Cup which happened in Changwon, South Korea, in April 2015.
In 2014 also, Chandela bagged a gold medal in the women's 10m air rifle event in the Commonwealth Games, Glasgow, in 2014.
