Smriti Irani Shares Throwback Pictures On Daughter Shanelle's Birthday

Smriti Irani birthday note to Shanelle Irani: Union Minister Smriti Irani took to social media on October 13, to wish her daughter, Shanelle Irani on her birthday. Along with her message to daughter Shanelle, Smriti Irani also shared a throwback picture featuring her kids.

Tagging her daughter, Smriti Irani wrote, "You center us, nurture us, sit and quietly let our tantrums pass you by... there are times when you flare up coz there is only so much indiscipline you can take... happy birthday to the most loving daughter...to many a times my partner in crime. Love you."

Since her post on Instagram, the picture had gathered more than 14,900 likes, along with people wishing her step-daughter best wishes. Actor Ronit Bose Roy wrote, "Happy Birthday darling @shanelleirani God bless you." While others shared heart emoticon reactions to the picture.

This is not the first time Smriti Irani has taken to social media to express her love for her daughter. In 2019 too she posted adorable pictures with Shanelle Irani. She captioned "In every relationship you have lived you have blessed us with happiness, you are out pride, our joy (heart emojis) Happy Birthday @shanelleirani."

On January 24, 2020, she also posted pictures with her daughters - Shanelle and Zoish. "I'm so proud to be their mother...one a lawyer, the other hoping to follow her sister's footsteps. Ever caring & confident, my daughters are my pride," Smriti Irani tweeted with #MeriBetiMeraGarv.

The duo sets an example and breaks all stereotypical notions about step-mother and daughter relationships. In 2000, Smriti Irani married Zubin Irani, who was her childhood friend. Zohr and Zoish are their children. Zubin Irani, a Parsi businessman, had just been divorced from her then-wife Mona. Shanelle is Zubin's daughter from the first marriage.

Now a minister, Smriti Irani's rise to fame as an actor and to becoming a household name was with Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, where she played the role of Tulsi. The show ran for eight long years.
