Single Mom Missing Class To Care For Child Gets Prof's Support

We all have heard umpteen stories of working women sacrificing their studies or career to deal with childcare issues. But what if we tell you that there are people striving to ensure that working mothers continue their studies by supporting them and offering some great solutions? That's exactly what happened at the University of Tennessee wherein a professor advised her student to bring her daughter to the class so that she does not have to miss an important class.

A student of Therapeutic Recreation, 21-year-old Morgan King is a single mother who often finds herself grappling with a lot of tasks that includes looking after her little daughter Korbyn. She also works at a restaurant to support herself. She had been managing everything immaculately but on 14th June, she failed to find anyone who could tend to her daughter and decided to take an off.

She sent an email to her professor to intimate him about her absence and apologize for the same. The professor reverted in a way that will melt your heart.

"I'm very serious with this offer - just bring Korbyn with you!" wrote Dr Hunter

An elated Morgan shared the screenshot of the professor's mail on Twitter which went viral, garnering over 5,000 retweets and 26,000 likes. The sensitivity she showed towards her student is winning hearts.
